From Antarctica to Y Combinator: Announcing Nori

January 20, 2025

From Antarctica in 2006 to Y Combinator in 2025

My journey to YC started 18+ years ago on a trip back from Antarctica.

It was Christmas 2006. I'd quit my job and was backpacking through South America, trying to figure out what's next.

Then a friend emailed me a link to "How to Start a Startup".

I was hooked. I devoured all of PG's essays between hostels in Patagonia. By the time I got back to Buenos Aires, I had already applied to the first-ever YC Startup School and booked a flight back to SF for March 2007.

Startup School was a great way to enter the startup world. I met lifelong friends, learned from the best, and felt certain I was on the right path. I've carried those early YC lessons with me through shipping, scaling, and starting over multiple times.

Fast forward to today

I'm pumped to announce that Nori is part of Y Combinator's Fall 2025 cohort.

Harish and I are building Nori because 100+ million Americans have wearables, but most have no idea what the data means. Your Apple Watch measures everything but it can't connect the dots, or tell you what to do next.

Nori connects your wearables, labs, and health apps directly to AI—so you get personalized insights every day, not once a year at your physical.

We need your help

We're still super early and iterating quickly... which is exactly why we need your help.

Sign up now to get early access to Nori—but only if you'll give us real feedback. We're looking for people who actually want to get healthier and are willing to share what's working (and what's not).

Super grateful to Garry Tan for backing me again, and excited to build with this talented batch of founders pushing the boundaries of AI.
